Recycling & Yard Waste Collection
Leaf Collection Service
Curbside leaf collection is provided from October 15th to April 15th.
Residents should not put leaves in bags, but leave them loose behind the curb for vacuum pickup. Please don’t mix tree limbs or trash with leaves.
Brush, Rubbish & Bulky Waste
The City of Loudon provides curbside pick up of brush, rubbish and bulky goods on a continuous basis. Brush should be stacked with all the cut ends facing the street.
It is not necessary to call for this service.
The city public works department will not pick up, chip, or dispose of any tree limbs, wood, or other debris that is created by contract tree trimmers or other paid individuals.
Collection of Household Debris
The City will pick up building material from homes being remodeled by the owner provided:
When available, the City will provide a truck between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. On regular business days, for the homeowner to load (this does not apply to weekends or holidays observed by the City):

- The homeowner is doing the work (no contractor or free-out side labor)
- The material is placed in an orderly manner by the curb so that the City crew canload the material in ten (10) minutes or less
- No shingles, liquids (including paint), tire-mounted wheels, or other material thatcan be deposited in the landfill will be collected
When available, the City will provide a truck between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. On regular business days, for the homeowner to load (this does not apply to weekends or holidays observed by the City):
- No shingles, liquids (including paint), tire-mounted wheels, or other material that cannot be deposited in the landfill will be collected.
- The truck must be loaded in such a manner as to meet the regulations for hauling.
- There will be a prepaid charge of $150.00 for the first use of a truck. The fee will not be assessed for the first use of a truck in any (12) month period.
